
Joanne Hartman lives with her husband and daughter in northern California. She is a founding member, profiles editor, and columnist (

San Francisco's J. Her work appears in the anthologies
Literary Mama: Reading for the Maternally Inclined (2006),
Using Our Words: Moms and Dads on Raising Kids in the Modern Neighborhood (2006), and
The Knitter's Gift. Joanne has worked as a writer for a New England public television station on an award-winning feature magazine show, as a reporter and photographer for a sailing magazine, and as an editor at a wire service. She taught for a decade at Orinda Intermediate School. Joanne is at work on a novel.
